The Worst Headaches You Can Imagine

I resigned myself to just living with excruciating headaches for the rest of my life until a friend suggested I look up Orland Park chiropractors online and make an appointment. I failed to see the connection between severe headaches and chiropractors until I did some research online and saw that there is very much a connection. I thought I got them due to genetics or some dietary deficiency or even stress, but it turns out pinched nerves can cause them. It also turns out that chiropractors can often ease these headaches through various techniques that take pressure off of your nerves.

I was skeptical up until I had my last headache, and boy was it a doozy. It was the worst one yet. I spent days lying in a darkened room because any amount of light would cause extreme pain and nausea. Continue reading The Worst Headaches You Can Imagine

I’ll Feel Better Again Soon with a Little Help

The chiropractor in Bakersfield CA that I met at a work party said I should let him check me over at his office to see if he could help me. He overheard me talking to his wife and explaining that I could no longer work out because I had so many aches and pains that were keeping me down. He leaned in and explained what he does for a living and said he’d like to do what he could to help me heal and get active again. It sounded wonderful. I felt like my body was going to jelly because I hadn’t been able to work out or be active for too long. I also no longer felt healthy anymore because of it.

My wife and kids are pretty active, too. Continue reading I’ll Feel Better Again Soon with a Little Help

The Collection Agencies Needed to Be Stopped As Soon As Possible

The Sacramento bankruptcy lawyer who worked with me and my husband so that we could put in for a bankruptcy saved us. We really did not know how to stop the collectors from harassing us all day, every day. We were both already working two jobs, and we still couldn’t get caught up. All of this simply because we had no health insurance to help cover our daughter’s medical costs when she went through cancer treatment for 1.5 years. We never had a problem before that happened.

Like any parents, we would do anything for our daughter. Continue reading The Collection Agencies Needed to Be Stopped As Soon As Possible

Someone Had to Help Me Get Back to a Good Life Again

I needed to know if a chiropractor in San Jose could help me live properly again. My sleep and daily routine had been disrupted far too much. Nothing I was doing to try to fix things was giving me any decent, long-lasting help. And I did not want to take prescription drugs to cover the pain that I was going through. How do you even know if you are treating your body well if you take prescription drugs that just silence the pain, but you don’t really know whether your underlying problem is getting better or not. I needed to get a good night of rest on a nightly basis and I needed to be able to handle my life daily, and that was my end goal.

I was kind of surprised when I pushed my way up to get onto the top of my washing machine in a seated position when I felt the worst pain in my arms and back. It was as if I had pulled muscles, yet I could tell that it was no ordinary muscle pull. It was happening because I was out of shape and had barely done anything to keep those muscles fit. It happened again later when I moved my left arm behind me in order to reach around and pick something up on a table behind me.

The time finally came to show me that I was due for paying the price of not caring for my body the right way. My arms and back hurt so much that I could barely lay down every night to sleep. It was too large of a struggle to get anything done when I was a wake because of the pain. I couldn’t get the kids to school on time or get my daily duties done. After appointments with a chiropractor for treatment and massages, I was able to get back to living properly again.

I Had to Change the Way I Was Thinking So That I Could Keep My Job

I put off seeing a chiropractor in Sacramento because I wanted to be cheap with my money. But when you hurt yourself and then ignore getting help, that’s almost a perfect way to end up needing to pay even more money because you allow the situation to go on and grow over time. I know this lesson well, yet, I don’t learn from it and make changes as often as I should. That’s how I handled my back problems. And as a professor at a large university, I can’t sit down and teach my classes every day. I need to move around. I need to be active for as long as I can so that I can keep my job.

I became a professor because my father was one. I admire him. He was incredibly smart and talented. Like most sons, I wanted to be like him when I grew up. So, I set out in school to do my best so that I could one day have a chance to get into the same Ivy League school that he attended and later began working at. I did not want him to see me fail at it. I wanted him to see that he had done a good job of raising a son who is just as smart as he was. I felt that it was important that he could see that he could be proud of me just as his father was with him.

When dad passed thanks to a horrific bout of cancer, it really affected me for a very long time. Before he died, he told me just how proud he was of me. It meant everything. But I realized just recently, that me being cheap and ignoring getting help was not smart. It could ruin my career. So, I did something about it last week and went to see a chiropractor.

I Enjoy What I Do for a Living

Working as a Fort Myers chiropractor keeps me very busy every day. This is because this is a state where the weather is almost always nice and warm, and many of the people here like to get out and participate in all sorts of things. People especially love to surf here, and you can imagine that a lot of people come in to see me with hurt backs. I know why they go back out to do it again and again because I am a surfer, too. I hope to never have to give it up and I plan to do it when I’m old and grey.

I started surfing when I was in grade school. My older brother took me out one day to teach me how to do it. It was so fun and free to sail through the waves on my own. I had been on boats before and really enjoyed that, but this was something else. I was somewhat in control, but for the most part, the ocean also had control of me. We Thought Our Daughter Had a Cavity in Her Tooth, but It Was Something else

All of us go to the dentist on a regular basis. Our youngest girl is afraid of all medical procedures, and probably is afraid of the dentist the most. What do you do when she says, “Daddy, my tooth hurts?” You cannot make it go away, so you go to the dentist. The last place she wanted to go. Our Fremont dentist is very nice, but our little girl is just very fearful of potential pain. She has never had pain at the dentist, but she is afraid that she might have it. You cannot make fear like that dissolve instantly. She just needed a lot of positive experiences at the dentist to help.

Her last few visits made her nervous, but she was okay after her exams were over. She said she was uncomfortable and nervous, but that there was not any pain. Now that she had a toothache, I figured she would need a shot and the drill would come out. The dentist did an exam and found a sliver of a popcorn kernel got between her gum and tooth. The dentist said that happens all the time. Continue reading We Thought Our Daughter Had a Cavity in Her Tooth, but It Was Something else

I Slipped on a Slimy Sidewalk and Felt Like I Broke My Back

I slipped on a slimy sidewalk. Have you ever heard of such a thing? I would sue the owner, but it was me. However, our homeowners insurance might cover the medical expenses. I landed hard on my butt and hurt my tailbone. I also hurt my left arm and shoulder. In the course of causing all the bruising and maybe even a broken coccyx, I also twisted my back pretty bad. I saw an MD and a chiropractor in San Francisco for total therapy to resolve the problems. The MD told me only time would help me feel better. I needed time to heal up. When three weeks went by and the tingling and burning sensations continued, I went to the chiropractor.

My back had spasms and trigger points. The therapy included electrical stimulation that felt weird but really helped. The adjustments helped the burning and all the tingling to go away. The nerves where irritated due to the big back twist I did on the way down trying not to fall. Now you may be wondering how we got a slimy sidewalk. I Was Too Tired to Function Properly

Not that long ago, I always felt like I was tired. It did not matter how long I slept or where I slept, I just felt like I needed more of it. My wife told me that I toss and turn all night, and that I look like I am in discomfort too, and I actually felt bad for her because that meant that I keep her up! I talked to my doctor about this, and he suggested that I see a chiropractor in Sacramento to see if there is anything wrong with my spine.

My doctor did do some testing, but nothing came back as conclusive. He told me that the tiredness is more than likely coming on because I am not sleeping good. Continue reading I Was Too Tired to Function Properly

Three Benefits of High Intensity Interval Training

If you are looking for a new workout regime, or are just looking for some new challenges, high intensity interval training (HIIT) might be for you. It’s an interval style training featuring quick, intense bursts, followed by short recovery periods. You give it your all during the short bursts, take a quick rest, and then repeat the cycle. Don’t be fooled by the short nature of the intervals, if you do it right, these short bursts will leave you sucking wind. This training technique that has caught a lot of attention in recent years, and for good reason. Here are three great benefits of HIIT workouts.

More efficient

First and foremost, high intensity interval training is much more efficient than a typical workout routine. This holds especially true for people who have limited time to workout. 20-30 minutes is a sufficient amount of time for a HIIT workout. Even though you may not be spending as much time in the gym, the intense bursts will make up for it compared to steady state workout, such as a long run.

Better cardiovascular fitness

Subjecting yourself to high intensity interval training works wonders for your metabolism because your body burns calories during the workout and for hours afterwards. This leads to more fat loss if you are trying to lose weight or if you are justing toning up. Additionally, high intensity interval training is great for your cardiovascular health as you are cycling between your peak heart rate and then back down to a normal heart rate. Over time, your cardio system will become much more efficient at lowering your heart rate immediately following an intense burst. You’ll start to notice yourself being in better shape to handle the HIIT workouts, and your cardio will be in better shape too. This leads to improving your endurance as an athlete. If you are training for a marathon, mixing in HIIT workouts with your regular training will help you build your endurance faster.

It grows with you

This is often overlooked, but high intensity interval training grows with you. Most other workout regimens cause the participant to plateau once they’ve reached a certain level. This is seen by people who train the same way over and over again – their bodies have adapted to that level of workout, and it isn’t challenging enough for them to see great improvements. This is not the case with HIIT, as it grows with you. You’re all in for the intense bursts. 100%. Maximum effort. As your endurance and athletic abilities increase, what once was 100% for you may now be only 70%. As you improve, so does your peak. This means that you’ll break through plateaus and get in better shape fast, and improve faster, compared to standard workouts.

HIIT offers many advantages compared with normal workout regimens. They are very time efficient, greatly improve your cardiovascular health, and allow you to achieve new levels of fitness due to its inherent nature of growing with you. Now that you know a little more about the benefits of high intensity interval training, it’s time to get out and the start bursting!

Keeping Your Beard Clean 101

Loving your beard means keeping it clean. One of the biggest struggles for the newly bearded concerns eating foods we normally wouldn’t worry about when clean-shaven. Here are five ways to help your beard stay clean and fresh even when eating the messiest of foods!

1. Groom and Trim

Keep your mustache well-trimmed around your mouth, but if you prefer to let your mustache grow, use a nice firm ‘stache wax to stick your hairs together and shape your facial hairs so that they don’t hang in the way of your delicious food. You could either trim yourself with a nice pair of barber’s shears every day or so, or you can visit your beard-friendly barber once a week for a touch up. The bigger the beard, the more care it will need.

2. Keep it Covered

Try a bib! Get a nice handkerchief or bandana (preferably of a waterproof fabric or treatment) and tie it around your chin when you really need to keep your beard clean. It might look funny, but if you’re eating before an important meeting or job interview, it’s worth keeping that beard free of gross chunks of food. There are beard shields out there, or you could make your own using some vinyl or plastic, and decorate it as you please. Or you could just use some cellophane in a pinch. Any way you slice it, there will be some days that you will need to go to great lengths to keep your beard at its cleanest — weddings, interviews, big meetings, dates, functions, etc. And always remember to head to the bathroom after meals just to check and make sure you’re good to go.

3. Tie and Tuck

You reach across the table for the salt, and the tip of your beard dips in your friend’s food or drink. Major party foul, guys! When your beard gets longer, make sure to tie it out of the way when you are about to sit down for a meal. You can clip it to your shirt or jacket once it is tied away, or just tuck it into your collar if you can. There is probably no worse beard foul than dipping your beard in somebody’s dinner! You could braid your beard, so it’s easy to just throw it over your shoulder when necessary. Clips and Clamps work wonders when you’re on the go, and like your beard free and fluffy. An elastic headband might work well in a pinch to keep that beard close to your neck and away from your food.

4. Invent and Adapt

Change your eating techniques. In general, reduce the size of your bites, invest in some tools to make your life easier, and take your time! Here are some techniques by food type.

Hamburgers, Pizza, Crumbly Sandwiches, Wings, and other Finger-Foods: Just commit to using a knife and fork, and eat in very small bites. You might be able to get away with folding dry slices of cheese pizza, but for any slice with a lot of toppings or oil, fork and knife is the way to go. It might be sad to destroy a perfectly good burger, but if you’re looking to keep from looking like a mess, there’s really no other choice. Wings are going to be really tough to keep from getting all over your beard if you eat them with your hands, so develop some surgical skills to get those tiny morsels cleanly into your gullet.

Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate: Carry a nice and sturdy pyrex, ceramic, or steel reusable straw to sip your hot beverage, or invest in a mustache cup or whisker dam to protect your precious hairs from being dunked in your coffee like a donut. Portable coffee cups often have spouts, which would be perfect to have handy for your morning commute.

Ice Cream, Pudding, Applesauce: Carry or use a long spoon with a smaller scoop size, and dig in to that ice cream sundae without getting your beard all sticky. Patience is key! Savor each small bite and make sure that no caramel or really gummy sauce gets in your beard, because those are beasts to try and clean up after the fact.

Noodles: These floppy, sauce-flinging puppies are tough to manage with a big old beard, but not impossible! Use the Italian method of fork-and-spoon. Curl your forkful of noodles by putting the tines on a spoon, and make sure the bottom of the spoon isn’t coated with sauce. Bring both to your mouth and slide the bite in. Voila! With sufficiently small bites, there should be no flopping or dripping going on to gunk up your beard. A second option would be to cut your noodles to a bite-size length, and just eat them with a spoon. Better yet, substitute noodle shapes which are already cut small and don’t flop around too much. That way, sauce or broth is guaranteed not to spray all over your prized chin-mane.

5. Oil and Wash Your Beard Regularly

Beard oil isn’t just for making your beard smell great and feel soft! Keeping your beard oiled means that wayward food particles won’t stick as much, and any food particles that may get stuck will be covered up by the aroma of, say, the finest cuban cigars, or a pristine alpine wilderness. In addition, the habit of oiling (or using balm and wax) will keep you aware of the condition of your beard throughout the day so that you will find little invaders like crumbs or sticky spots more frequently. A clean beard is a happy beard!

Use Back Hair Removal Cream To Remove Back Hair Painlessly In 10 Minutes

Back hair problems are usually the guy’s problem, as few women have much back hair. It is deemed unattractive to be hairy on your back for guys nowadays, as fashion will have it. Even the ladies prefer guys with less hair on their back.

Having lots of hair on the back may be disconcerting at times when you are exposed, like on the beach or at the public pool where eyes gawk at your back; worse if there are sniggles and whispers exchanged with eyes fixed on you or your back. However, you don’t need to be embarrassed anymore.

Ways of removal
There are many methods to remove hair on the back, even though most men might think that it would involve a lot of pain and cost, plus the agonizing thought of re-growth and the vicious removal cycle.

Some common removal methods include simple shaving (it can be diiffuclt to shave on the back and hair regrows quickly), waxing (which can be a very painful experience), electrolysis and laser treatments, which are both quite costly and require professional assistance.

But there is available in the marketplace today a removal cream for hair that works effectively on men or women, back hair or any part of your body; it is so much simpler and cheaper. This creaming off method allows you the pleasure of removing your hair even personally or with a trustworthy assistant in the privacy of your home.

Hair Removal Cream
It is very simple to use this new hair removal cream product as the instructions are very clear; you only need to apply the removal cream generously on your back and wait for a certain time before wiping the cream off with a moist cloth, or rinsing your back with warm water.

The removal cream functions like a depilatory catalyst that dissolves the hair in a sort of shrivel, just above the skin, painlessly and without any foul smell. You are left with a smooth and hairless back that should be moisturized for 10 minutes after the removal cream has done its work.

The beauty of this hair removal cream is that the back stays smooth and silky for a few weeks; when the hair grows again it will be softer, finer and at a slower rate. And the thought of not having to cream off your back hair so often should already bring a smile to your face.
